Meet the Founder Essence China
Essence China is a renowned Natural Hair Artist and creator of a viral hairstyle featured in The National Museum Of African American History And Culture. Her work has graced the cover of Essence magazine and other international publications.
In 2003, she successfully challenged the Arizona State Board of Cosmetology, enabling natural hair stylists to operate without board regulations. She founded Rare Essence Studio in 2006 and later Rare Essence Academy, offering tours, seminars, and online courses to help stylists create innovative hairstyles and achieve financial success.
Her mission is to fill gaps in traditional cosmetology education, empowering individuals with the skills, confidence, and knowledge to work with natural hair for personal or professional growth.
